Time: |
8:30 - 1:30 This counts as 1.5 sessions |
Location: |
Begin at ESU in the furthest north (paved) parking lot; it is the closest to Interstate 35, and it is east to enter off of Merchant Street. Normally it is a gray, restricted lot; however it is free in the summer. |
Focus: |
Infrastructure is often obscure from our view; however, it is essential large complex societies. We will visit several sites in Emporia such as street construction and water systems. |
Featuring: |
Matt Zimmerman, Emporia's City Manager |
Suggestions: |
Wear comfortable clothes, shoes, and sun-screen since we will be outdoors some of the time. We will visit various sites in ESU so you do not need to know Emporia well. Although similarities exist in the Emporia and Topeka infrastructure sessions, those who attended similar sessions in the past found it useful to be at both. |
Special Requirements: |
You are encouraged to waer comfortable shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather. |
