Money, banking, and macroeconomics Too often people think the government just prints money when it needs it. We will learn the money creation process is significantly different from what most people expect. Money isn't the most important of the economy; however, it enables agents in the economy to engage in more efficient trade.

Suggestions:

We will car pool and use an ESU van. We will leave he far north parking lot at ESU at 7:00 then pick up teachers at the South Topeka Turnpike Toll Plaza parking lot. We will depart for Kansas City by 8:00. Those who wish to drive may do so, and if you follow us in the van, we can provide parking in Kansas City without charge at or near the Fed. It would help to know your travel preferences in advance. We will be eating lunch in their Executive Dining Room. Please dress accordingly. Vans and buses may load and unload in front of our entrance. Security: A list of tour guests, including first and last name, who are 18 years of age or older should be forwarded at least two business days prior to your visit. You may submit this list by email or fax to (816) 881-2704. All guests are required to bring photo identification (school IDs are accepted) and undergo security screening upon arrival. Please arrive approximately 15 early to allow for the screening process. Firearms, hazardous materials, other dangerous items and illegal drugs are prohibited on Bank premises. All individuals and items entering Bank premises are subject to x-ray, magnetometer, and/or physical inspection.
