We want to get the word out about Emporia State and its programs through advertisements in a variety of media including newspapers, magazines, television commercials, billboards and social media.

You tell us what you want advertised and we will work with you to develop a comprehensive plan that fits your budget.

Publications and Design

We can help you with the details involved in publications — identifying topics, writing the copy, coordinating photos. As a full-service shop, we can handle all aspects of your publication work from an idea on the drawing board to the finished product in your hands.

Design is another critical step in publications or any electronic communications. Websites, brochures, logos, oh my! Whatever graphic design work you need, we have you covered. Bring us your ideas and we will implement them.

And the biggest advantages of having us do your design work? Your finished product will meet the university’s graphic design standards. And all work done for ESU departments and organizations is free of charge.

Writing is the foundation of communications and drives messaging as well as design. So cat got your tongue? Let us be your voice.

We love words, and we love to find the right ones to convey your message. Whether it’s copy for departmental brochures, research magazines, parent newsletters or news releases, we are ready to write.

We edit and proofread, too. The bottom line is assurance that we are all on the same page when it comes to sharing the university’s message.

Internal Communications

Those who live and work at ESU need to know what’s happening. We handle most news and information that goes out across campus. This includes daily Buzz In announcements as well as Roundtable, the faculty and staff newsletter.

Media Relations

We can help you publicize your events, news and interesting stories by distributing them to targeted media outlets. We know how to pitch stories to the media, and we have contacts across the state and across the country.

We can write and distribute news releases, set up interviews for you and help you prepare for interviews. Contact us at least four weeks before your event so we can plan together the best strategy for successful coverage.

Hometown news — celebrating student, faculty and staff accomplishments in local media — is a key component of ESU’s media relations strategy. Be sure to share news with us so we can get the word out.

Photography

A picture is worth a thousand words, and the staff of University Photography is available to photograph events, shoot portraits and other assignments for your communications needs. We also maintain a catalog of digital images that can be used in publications, advertisements and on fliers.

Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites are where it’s at for much of our audience. We can help you navigate the waters of launching an account and creating a plan to use social media to spread the word, all while maintaining ESU’s consistent message.

We can offer you website design and development services. We’ll set you up, then you can maintain your department, faculty and organization pages. When it comes to the information superhighway, we’re already in the fast lane.
