SUMMER INSTITUTE

In what ways does the concept of literacy change in a digital context? This course offers school, academic and public librarians, and classroom teachers opportunities to explore rapid changes occurring in education; the impact of these changes on learners and educators; and the changing role of the school librarians, teachers, and program specialists in this new landscape. Participants will be asked to attend the two-day conference, react to speakers and panel presentations; synthesize information; and collaborate to create vision and action in response to upcoming opportunities and challenges. Featured guests include David Warlick, Susan Stevens Crummel, and Sharon Draper. Revisions in the KS School Library Media Standards for student (PreK-12) will also be emphasized. [More Details]
