3 Credit Hours

Designed to give graduate students experience in conducting research in history. Required for those graduate students concentrating in American or World history who are pursuing the 36-hour master’s program.

Prerequisites: 6 graduate hours in American or World History

This course focuses on getting the student to research and write a comprehensive history term paper over a topic of their choosing on the history of the United States. Students will develop this paper from the conceptualization of a topic to primary and secondary sources research to the writing and final rewriting of a research paper. Advanced undergraduate and graduate students in history and library science only.
