Classroom Assignments
Most of our courses are held in our designated classroom, Room 801, 800 Building. Some courses require special classrooms, ex. Art, Music, which is scheduled in the appropriate BCC classrooms. See course schedule. Once a classroom has been assigned, the ESU Office of Off-Site and Distance Education will contact professors by primary/on-file email address.
Parking
BCC has several designated parking spaces for visitor parking. However, these spaces are limited and may not always be available. Permits are free, and you can be issued a campus parking permit by visiting the receptionist in the 900 Building of the El Dorado campus.
Key Information
BCC Safety and Security will unlock and lock your classroom each day/night. No keys will be checked out to instructors unless a special circumstance is needed and a request and approval is made through Off-Site and Distance Education. The phone number for Safety and Security is 316-321-7657.
Technology Equipment
The BEST Classroom, Room 801, located in the 800 Building is a smart classroom, equipped with a TV/VCR, computer, document imaging camera, and LCD projector. If you are assigned to another BCC classroom and require technology, please contact Off-Site and Distance Education ASAP, so we can submit a request to BCC for your needed equipment or have the equipment available from Off-Site and Distance Education.

Copies, Printouts, and Office Use
Currently, we request instructors take all copy and printout needs to the closest Kinko’s. Please submit the receipts to Off-Site and Distance Edkucation for full reimbursement of any costs you incur.
Holiday/Academic Calendar
Your class meeting times will follow Emporia State University’s academic calendar. If BCC will be closed on a date you are supposed to meet, arrangements will be made to have your classroom available.
Safety Procedures
Instructors will be responsible for evaluating their individual classroom and identifying the closest exits/protection areas during the event of inclement weather and/or emergencies.
