Buying your textbooks just got easier!
Just visit the Memorial Union Bookstore textbook ordering system to reserve or order your textbooks online. Of course, you can still order by phone by using the below numbers. Please have your course schedule handy when you order. We recommend that you order textbooks 2-3 weeks prior to the first class date.

Kansas City Metro Textbook Deliveries

Each semester, textbooks will be available for pick-up at the ESU Metro Learning Center in Overland Park. Students are also be able to participate in book buyback at that time.

Fall Textbook Sales and Summer Buyback:

EDUCATION MAJORS - Tuesday, July 29th - 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

BUSINESS & NON-EDUCATION MAJORS - Thursday, August 7th - 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m

Business Students:
The MU Bookstore will have textbooks available for purchase during the enrollment session. Pre-ordering is not required. However, pre-ordering and shipping are available if requested. Advisors will be available from 3:00 to 6:00pm.

Education & Non-Business Students:
The MU Bookstore will deliver textbooks to the ESU Metro Learning Center for any student in the KC Area. However, you MUST reserve delivery of your books ahead of time in one of the following ways:

  • Email Mike McRell ay mcrellmi@emporia.edu and type "MLC Reservation" into the subject line. Please include Student Name, Name of Courses, Course and Section Numbers
  • Call the bookstore direcly at (620-341-5214) or ask to be transfered from Lifelong Learning's toll-free number (1-877-332-4249).

You may also pay for books in advance and pick them up at the MLC after that date. Of course, you can also order your books online and have them delivered directly to your home for an additional shipping cost. [Click here for online ordering].

Textbook Refunds

  • FULL REFUND, IF RETURNED WITHIN THE FIRST WEEK OF CLASS,
    in your original form of payment with a receipt.

  • With a proof of schedule change, a full refund will be given in your original form of payment with a receipt during the first 30 days of classes.

  • No refunds given on textbooks without a receipt.

  • No refunds given on custom course materials, outlines, or study guides.

  • Textbooks must be in original condition.

  • All medical and specialty reference book refunds will be given in your original form of payment with a receipt within three days of purchase.
