"Special Student" (Non-Degree) Status

StudentStudents do not need to formally apply for admission to receive "special student" (non-degree) status.  Students may take as many courses under the "special student" status as they wish; however, they may not normally enroll in more than 10 credit hours in one semester or summer session. Exceptions to this policy can be granted by the university registrar. There is a one-time non-refundable $10 processing fee for undergraduates enrolling in Lifelong Learning courses. All graduate students are required to submit a one-time non-refundable $40 graduate application fee.

Non-degree seeking students do not qualify for student financial aid. Students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program should check with their advisor(s) before enrolling to ensure that the course(s) meet degree requirements.

Faculty reserve the right to decide on the applicability of course work taken before admittance into a specific degree program.  Students seeking admission should contact the Admissions Office or the Graduate Office
