Welcome to the University Libraries and Archives of Emporia State University

The William Allen White Library and the Archives located in the Anderson Library on the West Campus are the facilities which provide you with your entrée to information needed by you to complete your assignments whether it is located in a book, magazine, or on-line data base.

The William Allen White Library is home to approximately 645,000 books, journals and government documents plus 1,160,797 pieces of microfilm and microfiche. In addition, we also have about 3,500 media such as DVDs, videos, CDs, and audio tapes.

We provide access to over 85 data bases, 22,000 full text journals/newspapers on-line, and over 6,000 e-books. Through the Library's home page, you can also access information on the World Wide Web. All of these on-line resources are easily accessed from your home or residence hall room.

There are 40 public access terminals located in the Library. There is also a state-of-the-art electronic classroom where librarians teach information technology skills.

The University Libraries and Archives faculty and staff welcome you to Emporia State University . We are here to help you. Please do not hesitate to ask any of us for help when you come into the Library.

Sincerely,
