General Location Information

      • Current issues of journals and magazines can be found on shelves on the Second Floor.Past issues of journals and magazines can be found in bound volumes on shelves or on microfilm in drawers on the First Floor.

      • Journals and Magazines are arranged in call number order.

      • Some journals and magazines cab be accessed electronically using databases found on the library website

      • Use the Library Map for more specific location information

I know the title of the article and the journal. Where do I find it in the library?

If you know the name of the journal or magazine you want to find, you will want to do a Periodical Title Search in the Kellogg Catalog.

Periodical Title Search

This catalog search will provide you with call numbers for journals in paper-based and microfilm format and will also tell you if the periodical can be accessed electronically.

An icon of a CD-ROM tells you that the journal is available online.

Go into the record to gain more detailed information, including call numbers, years available, and the names of databases that provide online access to the journal.

I am starting my research Where do I start finding articles?

If you are just starting your research and you are looking for articles, you will want to start with the library's online research databases.

You can start with a General Database, search for Databases by Subject, or use the Alphabetical List to find a specific database if you know which one you want to use.

If you want to find articles that are available on-line and do not need to buy photocopied, you will want to use a database with Full-text access. Some examples of general databases with full-text access include
expanded academic asap, Lexis-Nexis academic, periodical abstracts,
