Problems Accessing Databases:
If you are experiencing problems accessing the Library's online databases you may need to clear your browser's cache and cookies.
Internet Explorer 7:
1. From the File menu select Tools > Internet Options.
2. Under Browsing History click on Delete.
3. The Delete Browsing History table should appear. Click on the Delete Files button for Temporary Internet files and Cookies.
4. You have now cleared you cache and cookies. Click on Close and OK to exit.
Firefox 2.0:
1. From the File menu select Tools > Options.
2. You should now see a window with tabs. Select the Cache tab and click the Clear Cache button.
3. Select the Cookies tab and click the Clear Cookies button.
4. You have now cleared your cache and cookies. Click OK to exit.

Connecting to databases off-campus:
When connecting to databases off-campus users will be asked for their name, university id, and password for authentication. If you have not set up a password you can do so here, View your library account. If you need to have your library account password reset, please call the White Library reference desk at 341-5207 or toll-free at 1-877-613-READ(7323).
If you experience trouble using or accessing the electronic databases, PLEASE, make sure you have turned off all pop-up blockers.
Connecting to ESU Wireless:
Note: The wireless on campus and in the library requires that you install the Odyssey client. At this time the Odyssey client is not compatible with pc's running the Windows Vista operating system.
The ESU Wireless Zone provides access to the ESU network and the Internet with wireless computing devices on campus. The Zone is accessible in White Library, Visser Hall, HPER building, Mainstreet in the Memorial Union and Koch Lounge in Cremer Hall. By Fall 2006, the wireless zone will expand to include all of Cremer Hall, all of the Memorial Union, the public areas of North Towers, and the Earl Center. Use your Buzz In username and password to gain access. For detailed instructions, go to http://techsite.emporia.edu/wireless. For further information contact TCS Help Desk @ 341-5555. Watch for the ESU Wireless Zone signs to know if you are in the Wireless Zone!
Printing:
Printing in the library has been centralized so that all print jobs may be picked up at the circulation desk located in the lobby area. The electronic course reserves are stored in .pdf format. To limit printing problems please make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Reader.
When printing PDF files, please use the print icon
located on the file toolbar in the active Adobe Reader screen..
