Scope and Contents: This unprocessed collection consists of correspondence, newspaper clippings, one publication and two photographs belonging to newspaper editor E.E. Kelley and donated by Katherine Kelley Powell. The collection contains material about the White family and letters by White, including correspondence between White and E.E. Kelley from 1894-1938. The correspondence covers personal, political and business matters. The amount of correspondence is not extensive, but gives an idea of the relationship between Powell and White.

Title: William Allen White Collection.
Date: 1826-1968.
Extent: Approximately 7,756 items.

Scope and Content: This collection contains correspondence, literary manuscripts, periodicals, newspaper clippings, music, poetry, photographs and artifacts by or about the White family. Correspondence is both personal and professional in nature, with many correspondents included. Manuscripts, articles from periodicals, newspaper clippings, poetry, and music lyrics all contain works by White. Included is his Pulitzer Prize winning editorial "To an Anxious Friend," and his Autobiography of William Allen White. All works are arranged chronologically within the grouping, with undated material at the beginning. The collection is extensive, and comprises a portion of the White collection, the other portion being housed at the Library of Congress.
