Present: Susan Packard, Carol Russell, Mitch Spencer, Jessica Velazquez, Kelly Winfrey, Dan Kirchhefer, Rod Sobieski (ex-officio)
Guests: Gary Ziek
I. Susan Packard was unanimously elected Student Chair.
II. Discussed Section VII.C.1. of Operational Policies and Procedures. Russell motioned, Spencer seconded to review and create suggestion list of items that funds won’t be allocated for. Submit by to Dan by February 15, 2005. Russell motioned, Spencer seconded to include Policies and Procedures with Budget Request Forms and mention Section VII.C.1 (Materials and Services which can be funded) in cover letter.
III. Updated Membership list
IV. Minutes from April 27 and April 29, 2004 – Kirchhefer motioned, Spencer seconded, minutes approved.
V. Discussed emergency request from Music: Jazz Ensemble trip to University of North Texas Jazz Festival April 1-2, 2005. Dr. Gary Ziek presented information about the request. Spencer motioned to allocate$2,979, Velazquez seconded, motion approved.
VI. Reviewed and discussed Budget Request form for FY05. Russell motioned, Spencer seconded to remove question 2 under Section Six. Winfrey motioned, Spencer seconded to set deadline of March 30, 2005 by 5:00p.m. for proposal submittals.
VII. Discussed questions about last years allocation reports. Will be addressed with applicants at next 2 meetings by Departments submitting Proposals.
VIII. Next meeting scheduled for April 21, 2005 at 4:00p.m.–tentative pending number of proposals received. Second meeting scheduled for April 22, 2005 at 1:00p.m.
