Graduate Research Assistant Available
The Research and Grants Center has a graduate research assistant available to assist faculty with various aspects of a research project or a grant proposal. This position is funded by the Faculty Research and Creativity Committee.
Danielle Dougherty is pursuing a master's degree in library science through the School of Library and Information Management. Ms. Dougherty can assist faculty in setting up a research profile in the SPIN SMARTS/GENIUS electronic notification service, which provides individuals with email notifications of funding opportunities that fit specific research interests. This is an excellent way to become familiar with grant programs in your area of interest and to stay abreast of opportunities available to you without having to conduct opportunity searches yourself.
If you need assistance with a research project, literature searches, locating grant sources, or development of a grant proposal, or would just like to know more about the SMARTS/GENIUS notification service, please contact Pam Fillmore at extension 5351 or at pfillmor@emporia.edu, and provide a brief description of what you need. Ms. Dougherty will then get in touch with you to set up a meeting and a work schedule.
