The
cover picture, showing Mr. Ross with members of the Department
of Biology at the main entrance to the Reservation, was
taken by David Stormont, student in the Department of
Art. Most of the other photographs were taken by various
students and faculty members, mostly incidental to field
trips. Figures 2 and 11 were reprinted from Hartman (1960).
The aerial photograph, pages 8 and 9, was obtained through
the help of the local Soil Conservation Service. The grid
selection lines and other symbols were drawn on this map
by Robert F. Clarke and Robert J. Boles of the faculty
of the Department of Biology.
