Dr. John Richard Schrock is the editor of the Kansas School Naturalist and is the chair of the Biology Department at Emporia State University. He specializes in science communication, biology education, and insect ecology, and is a member of the Education Subcommittee of the Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal (CSICOP).

For over seven years Terri Weast has worked as a web site designer in Kansas and Missouri. She was the first University Webmaster for Emporia State University and began work for the Jones Institute for Educational Excellence at ESU in 2001. In her free time, Terri is a freelance web site designer for the Kansas School Naturalist, and is an amateur photographer.
