Multi-Tier System of Support (MTSS) Training:
Structuring

Is your school preparing to create the structure needed to implement the Multi-Tier System of Support (MTSS)?

Bring a team for training designed to help schools create a structure to implement MTSS. The structure includes leadership and empowerment, assessment, curriculum, data-based decision-making, and integration/sustainability. There are 5 required days for MTSS Structuring. Schools may choose to complete two of those days in their own schools.

There are two options for the MTSS Structuring phase. Days 1-2 are $195 per participant and include a $15 materials fee; Days 3, 4, and 5 are each $90 per participant. On-site training costs vary.

Sharon Bechtel is a recognized MTSS trainer for Kansas and an assessment facilitator and educational reading consultant. Sharon has worked with regular education and special education students for over 35 years, serving as a K-8 principal, K-12 curriculum coordinator, team leader for early childhood, and middle school outcomes strategist/consultant. She has presented at numerous local, state, national, and international conferences in the areas of reading, RtI, special education and leadership. For the past six years, Sharon has been working with various schools to implement the RtI processes.

 

Audience:
Recommended teams include a district/building administrator, classroom teachers, Title 1 teacher, reading specialist, instructional coach, special education teacher, and might include an ELL teacher, school psychologist, or counselor.
