Multi-Tier System of Support (MTSS) Training:
Implementation

Does your school have the key components of structuring in place? Are you now ready to implement MTSS?

This training will help your team analyze data, elect interventions for supplemental and intense instruction, and improve data-based decision-making processes. Implementation requires three days of training at the Jones Institute, and three days of customized or on-site training, for a total of six days.

Sharon Bechtel is a recognized MTSS trainer for Kansas and an assessment facilitator and educational reading consultant. Sharon has worked with regular education and special education students for over 35 years, serving as a K-8 principal, K-12 curriculum coordinator, team leader for early childhood, and middle school outcomes strategist/consultant. She has presented at numerous local, state, national, and international conferences in the areas of reading, RtI, special education and leadership. For the past six years, Sharon has been working with various schools to implement the RtI processes.

Audience:
Recommended teams include a district/building administrator, classroom teachers, Title 1 teacher, reading specialist, instructional coach, special education teacher, and might include an ELL teacher, school psychologist, or counselor.
