Emporia State University has many computer labs on campus. Below is a list of labs across campus. Each lab is managed by the owning department. For more information about each lab, please contact the corresponding department/office:

Base Installation

DeepFreeze
Many of the computer labs on campus have an application, known as "DeepFreeze", installed. This application freezes the computer so that any changes made to the computer during its use, are reverted back to the original state when the computer is rebooted (restarted).
University Departments: DeepFreeze is available at a marginal cost, per computer. DeepFreeze is a required application for departments who require IT's assistance for continual maintenance of their lab computer stations.
LabStats
Many of the computer labs on campus have an application, known as "LabStats" installed.LabStats is a suite of software products that helps administrators manage computer labs. LabStats makes it easy to track computer usage and application data. Designed specifically for computer lab environments, LabStats uses a lightweight client to send usage data to a streamlined database and a single web server to generate reports on computer lab usage. This application is a very helpful tool to allow departments to determine the most efficient and effective ways to manage their computer lab equipment.
PC Lab Locations
There are many Windows PC Labs at Emporia State. The following section lists, by building, each computer lab on campus. Not all labs are publically available. For more information regarding private lab availability, please contact the department listed for that. Software installed on private labs is subject to change at the discretion of the owning department. Pleae note that students are encouraged to save their documents to their home directories, USB thumb drives, or to other file storage locations other than the lab computer as they will be removed each time the lab computer is rebooted.

The Memorial Union has two OPEN HornetStation locations, located outside of CSI on the 1st Floor, and also outside of the Office of International Education in the Lower Level.
HornetStations use SkyLab technology. You can log into HornetStations with your ESU Username and Password. HornetStations are equipped with "Standard Installation" software.

Library Services provides checkout laptops to Emporia State University students while at the William Allen White Library. Library Services provides both PC and Mac laptops for checkout. For more information, please visit with the Library Reference desk.
SkyLab
SkyLab is a portion of our SKY services. SkyLab is a special virtual computer that allows ESU students to run Windows software, remotely. It is available to Emporia State University Students, Faculty, and Staff. SkyLab is currently limited to 100 users at any one time.
