Web Conferencing

Adobe Acrobat Connect Professional 8 is the web conferencing tool licensed by Emporia State University. Connect iconConnect Pro provides the opportunity for faculty to create a synchronous, online classroom environment that allows for real-time sharing of information and documentation. Connect Pro uses Flash technology as its base. Flash, by Adobe's estimate, is already loaded onto 98% of computers in use today; it is available as a free download here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/.

An Adobe Connect meeting/class room may be created from within a Blackboard course shell. This allows faculty to quickly and easily populate the meeting with the class roster. The easy-to-use interface makes presentation simple, both for faculty and for students who may be called upon to present.

Access Connect Pro via Blackboard or directly at http://connect.emporia.edu.  Log on using your ESU ID and password.
