Admission Procedures

IDT admits on a rolling basis. The departmental admission committee reviews and decides on applications as they are received, until there are no remaining openings. Applicants must complete and submit the following in order to be considered for program acceptance:

To the Graduate Office:
1. Graduate Application
2. Pay appropriate Fee
3. All required transcripts have been received.

To the IDT Office: (click here for application requirements and details)
1. Two-page Resume*
2. Two References (click here for reference print-out)
3. Writing Competency Essay (500-700 word)*

A limited number of openings will be made available each semester and some applicants may not be accepted. A waiting list will be maintained for those applicants desiring admission in future semesters.

*Items may be submitted as a MS Word or RTF attachment via email to idt@emporia.edu.
