| Job Duties: |
Columnists must write commentary/opinion pieces as scheduled by the Opinion Editor. All columnists need to be knowledgeable regarding campus, state and national issues and must be familiar with AP writing style. Each opinion writer must also attend editorial meetings each week to contribute ideas to staff editorial content. |
| Minimum Qualifications: |
Previous journalism experience is strongly encouraged. Must be willing and able to learn at a rapid pace. Must be able to work under pressure. Must demonstrate a strong ability to write clearly and to engage an audience. |
