HEALTHQUEST

The HealthQuest program has been providing a variety of health promotion programs to employees since 1988 including LIFELINE, Winterfit, smoking cessation, stress management, self-care, and HealthCheck.

For benefit year 2005, two Disease Management programs are being offered.

LIFELINE, the State of Kansas employee assistance program, provides free, confidential help to any employee or immediate family member experiencing personal problems. Counseling is available for problems such as stress, depression, marital problems, child care and elder care issues, financial or legal trouble, family conflict and alcohol or drugs. LIFELINE can be accessed 24 hours per day by calling 1-800-284-7575.

HealthQuest is designed to enhance employee health and assist in the containment of health care costs. This program is jointly administered by the Division of Personnel Services within the Department of Administration and the Kansas State Employees Health Care Commission.
