Athletic Training

The ESU Athletic Training Program is fully accredited through Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).

Health Education

The Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S.E.) program is designed primarily to prepare a student for K-12 grade teaching in the discipline of Health Education and to provide an opportunity for the student to select another area of teaching proficiency.

Health Promotion

The Health Promotion Program is accredited through ACSM.  This accreditation is called the University Connection Endorsement Program (UCEP) and was achieved in 2006.  As a certified university, students in the Health Promotion program are eligible to take the ACSM certification exam upon graduation  Employment opportunities exist in corporate, clinical/medical, not-for-profit organizations, commercial/private settings and academic institutions.

Physical Education

The Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S.E.) program is designed primarily to prepare a student for PreK-12 grade teaching in the discipline of Physical Education and to be critical thinkers, creative planners and effective practitioners.

Recreation

The Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation offered by the Department of HPER at Emporia State University is designed to prepare students for leadership roles in the area of recreation. The National Recreation and Park Association/American Association for Leisure and Recreation accreditation guidelines are used as guides for the recreation program.  Employment opportunities exist in public, private, corporate, medical, non-profit, academic, and commercial recreation settings
