Application for Membership
The mission of the Emporia State University Honors Program is to create a community of student scholars that promotes academic excellence, develops leadership, and encourages service to others.
To participate in the program, entering freshmen must have an ACT composite score of 26 or higher OR a high school GPA of 3.5 or better. Students transferring from other colleges or ESU students who have completed at least one semester of college must have a GPA of 3.5 or better.
Applicants must also write two short essays of about 150 words each. The first must describe what you hope to gain from participation in the University Honors Program and what you might contribute. The second should describe your aspirations in one of the following areas: scholarship, area of interest or intended study, research, creativity, study abroad. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, so there is no yearly deadline.

To apply, you may submit the electronic form below or print out the application form, fill it out, and mail it to the address shown on the form. Members of the University Honors Program can apply to live on the Honors Floor.
