Graduate Student Orientation
As a newly enrolled student in a graduate program at ESU, we hope you will
see the Graduate Studies Office as a continuing resource. We will work with
you throughout your time as a student.
Out of necessity, part-time students work much more independently of the university
than a full-time day student. Your dedication to pursuing a graduate degree
while still maintaining employment and other family and personal responsibilities
is to be commended. The intention of this web site and our communication with
you is to let you know that we are here to support you in your studies and
your experiences at Emporia State University.
Please do not hesitate to contact the Graduate office staff with your questions
or concerns. We learn a great deal about the needs of our part-time students
from our part-time students! So, don't be surprised when you occasionally
receive a short e-mail survey from us or a call from someone on the staff,
just to see how things are going.
Enjoy the semester! The faculty and the curriculum undoubtedly will challenge
you to work hard and well. We hope that you will enjoy the intellectual challenge
and feel that you gain as much as you give to the process.
