Announcements, important dates and deadlines

Spring 2009 announcments

The office of Graduate Studies and Research is pleased to announce the winners of the poster awards and the prize drawings from the Research and Creativity Forum on April 8.

The faculty poster award went to Marcia Schulmeister, Assistant Professor in Earth Science in the Departments of Physical Sciences. The student poster award went to Ashley Long, graduate teaching assistant in Biological Sciences. Schulmeister and Long will each receive $500.  The first collaborative poster award went to Phil Kelly, Professor, and Deborah Gerish, Associate Professor, Social Sciences.  The second collaborative poster award went to Yunqi Zhao, graduate teaching assistant, and Yixin Eric Yang, Assistant Professor, Biological Sciences. Each author of the collaborate poster awards will receive $300.  

The winners of the faculty prize drawings are:  Elizabeth Yanik, Mathematics, Computer Science & Economics; William Jensen, Biological Sciences; and Carol Daniels, Psychology, Art Therapy, Rehabilitation & Mental Health Counseling.  Each will receive $500 for professional development.  

The winners of the student prize drawings are:  Waseem Afzal, Amanda Brown, and Tim Moser. Each will receive a $250 cash prize.
