Master of Science in Forensic Science
The Biology Department at Emporia State has accepted the first student for the new Master of Science in Forensic Science degree program. The new program will begin Fall 2015. Marah Elizabeth Carney is the first student in the new program. Marah received her undergraduate degree in Biology with a concentration in Pre-Medicine. She graduated from Emporia State in May of 2014. This is the only Master of Science in Forensics program in the state of Kansas.
Students entering the program in Fall 2015 can apply for scholarships established for this new program. Each scholarship award total is $1000. $500 will be awarded Fall 2015 and $500 for Spring 2016. This amount is guaranteed for two years provided the student maintains a 3.0 gpa. Deadline for the scholarship application is March 30, 2015.
