Taryn Siegrist, Chair
Taryn is a senior Communications Major with an emphasis in Public Relations. 21 years old, Taryn is from Herington, Kansas and started at Emporia last year. She claimed that she "fell into it after leaving a junior college. From there, everything else just fell into place." She joined Union Activities Council last year "on a whim." She served on the Featured Events committee and "loved being able to keep traiditions going." She claims that UAC is her "favorite part of the week. The people [I've] met here put a smile on [my] face and have [my] back. Plus, there's so many opportunities to meet people in the university and gain experience that no class can give you." Taryn also says that she "has a pink soul. I'm quiet, but love everyone."
Cameron Peak, Vice Chair
Cameron is a 20 year old junior Elementary and Physical Education Major from Derby, Kansas. Cameron chose Emporia State because of it's outstanding reputation for Teaching. Cameron originally joined Union Activities because he "wanted to get involved." Cameron chose the Talks and Topics committee because "he wanted to see if he liked it." So far, he has. He encourages anyone who's interested in joining Union Activities Council to "be able and prepared to adjust on the fly during our meetings or events." He also wants everyone to know that he "is colorblind." And that you can "feel free to make jokes about it."
