First Year Seminar
Want to learn how to have a fulfilling and successful college career, both personally and academically? The First Year Seminar is for you! The seminar is a one-credit course that meets twice a week for the first eight weeks of the semester, and is offered in both fall and spring. CW 101 Freshman Sem-University 101 is a highly interactive course designed to help you adjust to college and to life at Emporia State by teaching you strategies for personal, social, and academic success. It is not a lecture course! You will engage in hands-on activities and meaningful discussions about how to have a successful college experience. Three out of four students who take this seminar recommend it for other new students.
