Minutes
PRESENT: Tony Ambrosio, Paul Bland, Barbara Bleeker, Gary Bleeker, Ashley Bohn, Malonne Davies, George Durler, Nicole Gannon, Ellen Hansen, Nancy Hite, Steve Neill, Dennis Schmitt and Gary Wyatt.
I. Minutes of January 24, 2007 were approved.
II. Announcements:
G. Bleeker reported that three additional general education course proposals—HI112: U.S. History since 1877, CE250: Constructing Your Career and CW101: Freshman Seminar (Student Success)--were submitted for consideration.
III. Old Business:The chairs of the three subcommittees shared their reports on which course or courses would best fit under the general education framework categories their groups were assigned. After lengthy discussion, the Council agreed that a subcommittee consisting of Barbara Bleeker, Gary Bleeker, George Durler, Nicole Gannon and Gary Wyatt prepare a working draft of the general education program which will be discussed at the next scheduled meeting of the Council.
IV. New Business: None
The meeting adjourned at 4:40 p.m.
