WHAT IS THE STUDENT FOUNDATION BOARD?
Are you a hardworking student who has a passion for Emporia State University? Are you willing to help to advance the mission of Emporia State University for the next 150 years? Well then, the Emporia State Student Foundation is for you!
The Student Foundation lives and breathes Emporia State University. We recognize the importance of giving back to Emporia State. The Student Foundation Board is responsible for planning and implementing the annual student-led campaign, Hornet Nation which benefits student initiatives and campus enhancements, while promoting philanthropy at Emporia State University.
WHAT DOES THE STUDENT FOUNDATION BOARD DO?
First and foremost, the Student Foundation implements the Hornet Nation Campaign which raises money for student needs and priorities. Anyone who gives a minimum of $18.63 to the Campaign will receive a Hornet Nation shirt. The Student Foundation hosts an event during the Six Week Series to acclimate freshman students to campus life! Other events include the Slide into the Fall Semester Slip-N-Slide, Hornet Nation Shirt Design Competition, Emporia Symphony Fall Concert, annual Class Gift selections, monthly Random Acts of Kindness, participation in alumni dinners and ceremonies, Thank-A-Giver "TAG" week, and assisting with the Campus Campaign in the Spring semester. As a member of the Student Foundation Board, you will be a vital part in helping plan both the Fall and Spring Campaign weeks, as well as Membership Drives, the Shirt Design Contest and special events that help benefit Emporia State University.
