Amendment to FSB 99001
Proposed by Senator Dave Saunders
Change the sentence "For this purpose, the instructor can assign graduate students a letter grade (A, B, C, D, F, I) with plus/minus as appropriate or a U (unsatisfactory) or S (satisfactory)."
to "For this purpose, the instructor can assign graduate students a grade as appropriate for the course."
Rationale: The reason for this is that graduate student courses have more options for grades than are included in the first sentence, for example "NC" grades. The new sentence does not attempt to either enumerate the possible grades nor does it limit the potential grades that could be assigned.
