Faculty Senate

The Faculty Senate of Emporia State University serves as a forum for faculty to engage in shared governance. All full-time faculty members of the University Libraries and Archives, the School of Library and Information Management, the School of Business, the Teachers College, and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences have the opportunity to serve as a senator and/or select Faculty Senate representatives. Each department of a college/school is guaranteed at least one senator.

The Faculty Senate typically meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month during the academic year. The time of the meeting is from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. Faculty Senate Standing Committees typically meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m.
