Director of Choral Activities/Instructor

Director of Choral Activities. A full-time, one year position (with the
possibility of renewal) in the Department of Music. The primary responsibility
is musical direction of the university choral ensembles with a strong emphasis
placed upon recruitment. Other duties may include teaching conducting,
supervision of student teachers, or duties that meet the needs of the
department and are consistent with the strengths of the individual candidate.
The candidate should have demonstrated success in recruitment/program
development and skill in developing community support. Candidates must have a
masters degree in choral conducting or choral music education and experience
teaching in the public schools. Rank: Instructor. Salary: competitive. Start
date is August, 2010.
