Senior Banner Systems Analyst/Programmer

Emporia State University invites applications for the Senior Banner Systems
Analyst/Programmer position. The Senior Banner Systems Analyst/Programmer is
responsible for the planning, coordination, and supervision of all activities
related to the design, development, and maintenance of Emporia State
University’s Student and Financial Aid Banner Systems and supporting software
applications.
This position requires proven project management experience, personnel
supervision experience, excellent communication skills, excellent problem-
solving skills, and knowledge of best practices related to the design,
development, deployment and maintenance of mission-critical information
systems.
Applicants must have a minimum of a Bachelors degree. Prefer a major in
computer information systems, computer science, or equivalent area. Proven
experience in system analysis and design, coding, testing, debugging, and
documenting application programs; experience in supervising application support
and programming staff in the delivery and support of enterprise applications;
proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation
of software solutions are preferred. Extensive experience with Oracle and
Sungard Higher Education Banner or equivalent ERP System, good project
management skills and/or substantial experience with project-based work
structures is preferred.
