Standard false-color composite of Devils Lake region, Sept. 23, 1988. Basins of Devils Lake are large glacial depressions; Sullys Hill is an ice-shoved ridge of material derived from the lake basin. Tunnel valleys lead into Devils Lake from the north, and melt-water spillways extend to the south.
