Gravel riffles in the Neosho River channel at Neosho Falls, northeastern Woodson County. The riffles are composed almost entirely of chert pebbles. Such deposits are similar in dimensions and internal structure to older gravel on nearby high terraces and hill tops. Photo © by J.S. Aber, 3/94.
