Gemstones---Which Type is for You?

This page was designed and created by Jessica Sielert, who is an Earth Science major at Emporia State University. Our mineralogy class has been discussing minerals and gemstones in some detail. Our assignment was to create an educational web page and I chose to discuss several minerals that are considered desirable gemstones. The five gems I investigated were topaz, diamond, ruby, sapphire, and emerald and in addition to information about each of these gems, there are links to other interesting sites.
