| Estonia is a country with many islands. Here is our car on a ferry to the island of Vormsi. The island was occupied by the Swedish people until WWII. Then, virtually overnight, the people fled. Of the 10,000 who inhabited the many islands, 8,000 were evacuated and some 1,500-2000 were taken to Siberia, so a fellow traveler said. Estonia was occupied by the former Soviet Union until independence came shortly after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Many Swedish people return to the islands to visit ancestral roots.

| Here is a picture of me, the photographer, hard at work in our room on Vormsi. Our days on the island of Vormsi were quiet and pleasant. Our room was in a beautiful house that we highly recommend to all! We found it on the internet at Elle-Malle Kulalistemaja (phone 247 32 072) near the largest village on the island, Hullo.
