The living room is at the end of the hall. The Russian TV is sitting in the corner just daring
you to turn it on and be disappointed with it's picture and sound quality.
The first thing you see when you come in (after sixty-six steps up) is this hallway.
Well shut the door and come in. After a few steps forward, the toilet and
bathroom are on the right. Having a separate room for the toilet and bath is both good and bad, and both rooms are too small to photograph.
Turn around and move back to the main hall. Next on the right is the kitchen.
Note the washing machine and unfortunately, the lack of a clothes dryer.
Across from the kitchen is my parent's bedroom. Note the drying rack for the clothes,
which is due to the lack of clothes dryer.
This is the apartment building that we live in. Ours is the fourth floor, farthest right.
This is the view from one of our windows (actually, it's the one you can see
in the picture of the outside of the apartment).
Here is the view from the living room window. The direction is to the north
and we are looking out at a school.
Our Apartment
Our apartment is located on Tammsaare street (which
literally translates to oak island), block four, in Tartu.
It's an older, brick building, of Soviet style construction.
Even so, it's quite nice, and better than I expected. Not
quite up to par with home in Emporia, but nicer than
some apartments I have lived in.
Here's the toilet...
...and here's the bath.
...and finally, my room. My bed's the one on the left.
This is 'the workstation.' It's beginning to look a bit like my desk at home...
just need some more stuff to put on it.
Here is 'workstation number 2.' This is the computer my parents use.
It is located in the living room.
