Welcome current and prospective ESU Elementary Education majors! Emporia State University has a long history of preparing future educators. Our education programs are nationally accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and the Kansas State Department of Educa

The Elementary Education program is a nationally recognized program. Dr. Art Levin selected ESU as one of four ‘model’ teacher preparation programs in the nation (Hartocollis, A., New York Times, July 31, 2005). Edutopia selected ESU as one of the top 10 leading schools of education (Rubenstein, G., Edutopia, http://www.edutopia.org/schools-of-education-emporia).
