Program Summary


The graduate program in the Department of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation at Emporia State University was the first online masters degree in the United States to be offered completely online. Students take all course work through web-based classes.

The program is fully accredited and remains the leading online MS Program in Physical Education in the United States. The program is accredited through the Higher Learning Commission and the North Central Association Commission on Institutions of Higher Education (NCATE). Prospective students for this masters program include those individuals who are interested in advancing their education and opportunities in the areas of teaching, health promotion, coaching, and research.
