Tulsa Community College: Transfer Agreement/General Education Requirements
A student who completes an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science
degree based on a baccalaureate-oriented sequence at Tulsa Community
College and whose degree program has met the requirements of this Emporia
State University-Tulsa Community College Agreement will be accepted
with junior standing and will have satisfied ESU's general education
requirements. Any course exceptions must be approved by the director
of the ESU Student Advising Center. A minimum of 44 credit hours of
general education courses numbered 100 or above will be required. General
education hours totaling less than 44 will be accepted, but transfer
students must complete the remainder of this requirement before graduation
from the receiving institution. Courses may be chosen from the Tulsa
Community College General Education Requirements as well as other course
listings in the TCC course catalog.
I. Basic Skills (12 hours)

6 hours of English Composition

3 hours of Speech Communication

3 hours of college level Mathematics
II. Humanities (12 hours from at least three of the following disciplines)

Art*, Music*

Theatre*, History

Philosophy, Literature *Performance courses are excluded. Note: Courses with an REL prefix will not fulfill general education requirements but will transfer as electives.
III. Social and Behavioral Sciences (12 hours from at least three of the following disciplines)

Sociology Economics

Political Science Geography

Psychology Anthropology Notes:
(a) SOC 2123 applies toward the discipline of Anthropology.(b) Either PSY 2130 or SOC 1130 will fulfill the requirement, but not both.
IV. Life and Physical Sciences (8 hours in only those courses with lab—one course from life science and one from physical science)
