Shelly Gehrke, Ph.D. joined the Advising Center in June 2010 as the Director. Previously Shelly was the Director of Advising in the Institute of Technology at the University of Minnesota, and the majority of her other experience was at the University of Texas. She has published and frequently presented at national conferences, especially on the topic of students on academic probation. Shelly has a PhD in Higher Education Administration and a MEd in College Student Personnel and Administration from The University of Texas (Austin). Her BS is from Stephen F. Austin (Nacogdoches, TX) in Environmental Science with a second major in Public Relations.
