JAWS

This software is a screen reader geared to meet the needs of students who are blind or visually impaired. JAWS is also used to access printed material that has been converted into a digital format (also known as “Alternative Formats”). Learning JAWS is time intensive; thus, appropriate planning needs to occur so that students can have a smooth transition into the academic environment. The office has training materials that can be checked out to registered students with disabilities. If interested in these materials, students can make an appointment with the director of the office.

The software is currently available in three locations on campus.

1. Office of Disability Services

2. Richael Computer Lab

3. William Allen White Library
