Paul Lim

Professor Lim visited ESU on Oct. 2 and 3, visiting classes and conducting one-on-one conference sessions with ESU playwriting students. Lim also performed a reading of his play Mother Tongue, and ESU theatre students Benjamin Howard and Michael Johnson performed a script-in-hand reading of his play Report to the River.

Lim teaches at The University of Kansas and is the founder and artistic director of English Alternative Theatre (EAT), which focuses on producing plays by creative writing students at KU.  He has also been Playwriting Chair for Region 5 of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival and the KCACTF National Selection Team for Festival 36. Additionally, Lim has earned several awards including the Kennedy Center gold medallion and the Conger-Gabel Teaching Professorship.
