Welcome to SSIOP!

The Student Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SSIOP) is an organization comprised of students who are interested in the complex issues of personnel in the workforce. Some of these issues include effective personnel selection, maximizing the utility of job analyses, performance appraisal, leadership, consulting, and training design and implementation. In addition, SSIOP provides many services to members, such as funding for attendance to regional and national conferences and assistance with individual research projects. It also provides students with information about employment opportunities and PhD. programs. The club hosts many social activities each semester including parties, fundraisers, and guest speakers. Everyone is welcome and you need not be a graduate student in the I/O program to join our organization.
Each year we attend the Annual Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology conference. The conference engages members of our organization in current research, workshops, and symposiums focusing on improving employee work behaviors, job satisfaction, performance appraisal systems, and many other aspects of work place behavior.
