Financial Aid

Most graduate students are supported through either teaching or research assistantships, while other students receive scholarships or other types of aid. A Graduate Assistantship (GTA or GRA) position provides a full tuition waiver for graduate students who are enrolled in 7 or more hours of graduate credit. In addition, GA positions also provide the graduate student with a stipend of approximately $6,500 for 9 months. Because both GTA and GRA positions are awarded on a competitive basis, it is recommended that serious applicants apply as soon as possible. Moreover, there are usually several GTA and GRA positions available outside of the Psychology and Special Education Department.
