Each year, the Alpha Delta Chapter of the Delta Pi Epsilon Society awards an outstanding teaching award. This year's award was received by Ms. Donna Kelley Shawn. Donna is a Career and Technical Education Resource Specialist for the Shawnee Mission School District. She assists and supports teachers in middle and high school industrial education, family and consumer science, and business education.

Prior to her administrative position in Shawnee Mission School District, Ms. Shawn was a Business Education Director at Wichita Area Technical College. Other Positions she held at the Wichita Area Technical College include Business & Industry Program Specialist and Business Education Instructor.

Donna has an Ed.S. Degree in Educational Administration from Wichita State University, an M.S. in Education from Kansas State University, and a B.S. in Education from Emporia State University. She is professionally active in may business organizations including president of the Alpha Delta Chapter of Delta Pi Epsilon, Regional representative to the NBEA Executive Board and Exhibits Chairperson for the Mountain-Plains Business Education Association. She has held many positions including president of the Kansas Business Education Association executive board.

Donna is an outstanding teacher and a true leader in business education in this region. Congratulations to a true professional!
